At the City Hall at Polish Army Avenue in Żory, a workshop from the series “Man – Energy – Environment” was held as part of the project “Comprehensive actions to improve the energy efficiency of the buildings of Primary School No. 4 and Technical Secondary School No. 1 in Żory”, for which the City of Żory obtained funding from the Financial Mechanism EEA 2014-2021 under the program: “Environment, Energy and Climate Change”, program area: Energy.
The workshops were conducted by representatives of the Napraw Sobie Miasto Foundation from Katowice. 15 teachers from educational institutions in Żory took part in them. They deepened their knowledge, among others: in the field of climate education or the most difficult areas of transformation. They learned how air quality affects the physiology of students and teachers, as well as how to monitor air quality in the classroom. The result of the workshops is the creation of ecological interest groups in 4 Żory schools, examining the impact of energy choices on the environment.
