15 teachers from Żory schools took part in the workshops entitled “Human – Energy – Environment”, organized at the headquarters of JBG-2 Sp. z o. o. The classes were organized as part of the project entitled “Comprehensive actions to improve the energy efficiency of the buildings of Primary School No. 4 and Technical School No. 1 in Żory.”
During the classes, teachers acquired knowledge that they will share with students in the future, including: during interest groups related to ecology and energy efficiency. Workshop participants learned how photovoltaic panels work and how they can be used to save money and protect the environment. Workshop participants also had the occasion to see the production lines for photovoltaic panels. Another issue discussed was heat pumps, their types and principles of operation. They were presented by a representative of the JBG 2 company in the so-called “Heat Pump Academy”.
The workshops were held as part of the project entitled: “Comprehensive actions to improve the energy efficiency of buildings of Primary School No. 4 and Technical School No. 1 in Żory”, for which the City of Żory obtained funding from the EEA Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 within the programme: “Environment, Energy and Climate Change”, program area : Energy
